Workshops
The Parent Workshop was held at a church in our neighboring community of Madison Heights, Virginia. Guest Speakers were a pastor from a local church and representatives from Horizon Health. The pastor delivered an empowering message of strength, encouragement and hope to the parents. Horizon Health representatives presented "The Hidden in Plain Sight" presentation, including a walk-through mock bedroom to equip parents with knowledge of warning signs that may indicate their teen needs help. A complimentary lunch was provided. All attendants received a free copy of Age of Opportunity: A Biblical Guide to Parenting Teens (Revised) by Paul David Tripp and various resources provided by Horizon Health.
